This will change whether the elements in the calendar and other parts of the program are drawn with gradients. Changing it requires a restart to take effect.
InstruManager uses your computer's GPU to speed up drawing and animating of the calendar. The Direct Performance options allow a compromise between graphics and navigation performance. InstruManager will default to High Settings (making the most use of your GPU), but you can quickly change between low and high GPU demand using the Low Settings and High Settings buttons at the bottom of the window.
Ensures lines are drawn exactly where required (to the pixel) but puts more demands on the GPU. Switching this off will improve the navigation performance of computers with low specification or no dedicated graphics processor. Changing it requires a restart to take effect.
Uses scaled bitmaps instead of real-time drawn elements. Switching this on will improve the navigation performance of computers with low specification or no dedicated graphics processor. Changing it requires a restart to take effect.
Anti-aliased text is used by default, which improves text appearance and can also improve legibility. Anti-aliasing however puts more demands on the GPU. Switching aliasing on will improve the navigation performance of computers with low specification or no dedicated graphics processor. Changing it requires a restart to take effect.
The Other Performance options may effect the performance of InstruManager, however as to whether these are beneficial depends on your setup.
This will cache an image of the elements to be animated when jump-navigating on the calendar. This may improve performance if your disk access speed is high, and GPU performance is low, or there is no dedicated GPU. The easiest way to determine if it's beneficial is to try it. Turning this option on or off does not require a restart to take effect.
Where the system is struggling to animate jump-navigation of the calendar, you may prefer to disable animation, in which case the calendar will jump immediately to the selected date. Turning this option on or off does not require a restart to take effect.
This will prevent the GPU from being used, and will use the main CPU to carrying out all drawing of the program. It is not recommended as it is unlikely to improve performance of the program. Changing it requires a restart to take effect.
